Stunning Private Villa at Apartment Prices
Villa Alegre is a beautiful private villa in an idyllic location at La Sella, Pedreguer, near the town of Denia on Spain's Northern Costa Blanca. It is just over an hours drive from Alicante or Valencia Airport - a taxi service is available but we strongly recommend hiring a car so you can also explore the beautiful surrounding area.
About Villa Alegre, Denia
The villa has two bedrooms (both doubles) and two bathrooms so it is ideal for four people. A cot and high chair are also available for a small extra charge. To help keep your luggage weight down and avoid excess baggage charges, we can also provide large beach towels at the villa for £1.50 per week.
The villa also has two games rooms: the first games room contains a table tennis table, TV and DVD player. The second games room contains a full size freeplay pool table, table football and darts. There's also a downstairs loo.
A spiral staircase from the naya (covered front terrace) leads down to the games rooms to provide access without having to go outside the villa.
Lounge / Dining Room
The airy lounge has a traditional Spanish "barrel" ceiling and two sets of French windows lead onto the front and back terraces, garden, enclosed front terrace and swimming pool. There is a large comfortable sofa-bed and two large cushioned swivel chairs. The dining area has a round extending table with four chairs and there are two more chairs in the bedrooms. There is a coffee table and a sideboard which contains games, CDs and DVDs etc.
A powerful ceiling fan keeps you cool when the weather is very hot and there are two more of these fans, one in each bedroom. An enclosed log burning fire gives fan assisted heating for those chilly evenings and it also has a control allowing you to leave it safely burning overnight.
Kitchen
The villa has a spacious fitted kitchen complete with large fridge-freezer, microwave oven, full cooker, toaster, juicer and kettle. The kitchen leads out onto the rear terrace through a small utility room which contains a porcelain washboard & sink, automatic washing machine and also the boiler for heating the water.
Bedrooms
There are two double bedrooms, each with two single beds that can be moved together to make a double bed. Each bedroom has fitted wardrobes, a dressing table and bedside tables. The back bedroom has a peaceful view of the garden and gets the evening sun while the front bedroom gets the morning sun and has stunning views over the citrus groves, ocean, La Sella golf course and the Montgo National Park.
Bathrooms
The main bathroom is between the bedrooms and has a full sized bath with stand-up shower and shower curtain. There is also a separate shower enclosure, wash-basin and toilet. The second bathroom which is at the bedroom end of the naya has a large shower cubicle, a washbasin and a toilet.
What else is provided?
A full range of crockery, cutlery, glasses, pans, bed linen and towels are provided, also an ironing board, iron and hairdryer. A portable outdoor barbecue is available, as well as sun loungers with cushions.
There are also parasols and cool bags available for you to take to the beach.
For guests staying more than one week, a change of linen will be provided at the end of each week.
The Swimming Pool
The villa has a beautiful 8m x 4m private swimming pool for your exclusive use. It has curved Roman steps into the shallow end and has a maximum depth of about 2m at the deep end. There are underwater lights for use at night and there is also an outside shower cubicle so you can rinse off the sun-tan oil before bathing.
The Terraces
Beautiful tiled terraces surround most of Villa Alegre. The pool terrace makes a perfect sunbathing spot in the hot weather. The covered front terrace is fully enclosed with glass panels and double doors so it can be used as a conservatory in the winter months. The doors can be left open in the summer and the outside balcony makes the perfect location for an evening drink while enjoying the superb views over the citrus groves towards the sea. At the back of the villa is a small, sheltered terrace which has a table and chairs and is perfect for breakfast.
The pool terrace and the terrace outside the back of the living room each have an extending canopy to provide shade from the sun.
The Games Rooms
The games rooms are ideal for the occasional rainy days, the days when it is so hot you enjoy a bit of relief from the sun, or just if the children (of all ages) get bored!
The first games room contains a table tennis table, TV and DVD player. The second games room contains a full size freeplay pool table, table football and darts. There is also a toilet on the same floor as the games rooms.
In House Entertainment
There is a radio/CD player and a colour TV with a Satellite card which gives access to ITV1, Channel 4, Channel 5, Fiver and many other satellite channels. If you have a SKY card you can take it and it will receive Channel 5 and other extra channels but please note that your card will not receive BBC1, BBC2, ITV1, ITV2 or Channel 4 and you cannot pay for extra channels as SKY is not supported in Spain. There are also several board games and playing cards in case anyone gets tired of the sun. A DVD player is also connected to the TV and we have provided a wide selection of CDs and DVDs for your enjoyment. There's also a Sony PS2 with some games and a DVD player attached to the TV in the table tennis room.
Special Occasions
We can also arrange to have champagne, cakes, flowers etc. provided on your arrival at the villa for occasions such as birthdays and anniversaries. Prices are available on request.
Welcome Pack
On arrival at the villa you will find a welcome pack including tea, coffee, sugar, milk, bread, butter, jam, eggs, biscuits, toilet roll, dish cloth, tea towels, orange juice, large bottle of water and a bottle of wine to get you started.
