Les Marines beach
Les Marines, to the North of Denia, has superb and extensive beaches with fine sand and holding the European Blue Flag award.
Les Rotes beach
Les Rotes Beach is located to the South of Denia. It constitutes small coves and cliffs with places of incredible beauty. It is an area where creeks with wonderful turquoise waters follow one after another - an absolute paradise for fishermen and divers.
Les Deveses beach
Les Deveses beach to the North of Denia is over 4 km long. Half of it is fine golden sand and dunes and in the south bordering on La Almadrava beach, it is mainly composed of rounded stones. It marks the beginning of the Costa Blanca, as to the north, it borders on the beaches of the Valencian town of Oliva. This beach is particularly suited to windsurfing, especially in the summer months, when the Garbi and Llebeig winds blow.
Les Deveses Beach also has the Blue Flag. This beach has a bus station, Red Cross, lifeguards, parking, rest rooms, showers, public phones and beach-side restaurants and there is also a sun-bed and shades service. As well as windsurfing, you can also practice sailing here.
Moraira Beaches
El Portet beach
The beach at El Portet in Moraira has special handicapped persons facilities, red cross, restaurants, public toilets, lifeguards, parking, public phones, bus stop and also holds the Blue Flag.
El Portet beach is a beautiful sandy and rocky beach and is a popular meeting place for cruise boats, as well as a great place to try your hand at wind surfing!
L'Ampolla beach
The main L'Ampolla beach at Moraira is a lovely crescent shaped fine sandy bay with easy access to the town centre restaurants and shops. It can get very busy in the peak season as it is one of the most popular local beaches.
Javea beaches
The Arenal
Javea (or Xabia as you will often see it on local signposts) has a superb man made crescent shaped sandy beach with all the expected tourist facilities. More commercialised than Denia or Moraira, it has a terrific selection of restaurants on the promenade which adjoins the beach. These range from La Boheme where you can enjoy fine dining at reasonable prices to Scallops at the Southern end of the bay which is renowned for it's outstanding value for money. For about €8 you can enjoy a three course meal including a full bottle of wine per person and also coffee and brandy - but don't expect too much of the wine!! The beach is well patrolled and has children's play areas and ample sunbed rental.
Javea Port
Between Javea Arenal and Javea Port to the North is a stretch of rock and pebble beach which still has plenty of facilities such as beach bars and lifeguards but which is much less busy than the Arenal in the season. The sea is still the same gorgeous blue Mediterranean so it depends on your personal preference where you go!
